Tootbus tourist bus operator will collaborate with the provider of solutions for electronic fleets VEV, starting from the supply of 100% renewable energy and 10 Tootbus battery chargers for electric buses. VEV will entrust Tootbus with powering its current electric fleet composed of three vehicles and will also install solar energy plants by Tootbus Wandsworth deposit to generate 65,000 kWh. Tootbus will exploit the VEV-IQ platform of smart energy management. VEV’s proprietary system allows fleet operators to monitor the power supply, charge infrastructures, and use vehicles to keep their fleets in motion and maximise energy efficiency.
Gavin Brooking, managing director of Tootbus UK, stated: «The green tourism is at the core of our corporate strategy and represents a huge investment for us. We have acknowledged the massive potential that the shift to a sustainable end-to-end electric fleet might have in helping us hit our targets of emission reduction. With its broad expertise in the sector of smart energy management, VEV is for us the ideal partner with a tailored turn-key solution».
