Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V., German Branch, has announced a change in its top management. As of 1 April 2026, Mario Poltronieri has assumed the position of President of the German Branch, succeeding Andreas Wagner, who has taken over the leadership of Mitsubishi Electric’s Italian Branch.
Poltronieri previously served as President of Mitsubishi Electric Italian Branch and has held various management roles within the Mitsubishi Electric Group. During his tenure in Italy, the branch further developed its strategic activities and consolidated its presence in several forward‑looking markets.
With his move to Germany, the company underlines the importance of cross‑border cooperation and internal continuity within its European organization. Germany is one of Mitsubishi Electric’s key markets in Europe in terms of industrial and infrastructure applications.
In an official statement, Poltronieri said he looks forward to his new responsibilities in Germany and intends to continue the branch’s development together with the local team, with particular attention to customer needs and future market requirements.
Mitsubishi focuses on heating, cooling and air conditioning technology, factory automation, energy solutions, semiconductor activities, mobility applications and building technologies. These business areas are closely linked to current trends such as energy efficiency, electrification and digitalization in industry and the built environment.
Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has been active for more than 100 years in the development and manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment. Its portfolio includes systems for information processing and communications, space and satellite communications, consumer electronics, industrial technology, energy, mobility and building technology, and heating, cooling and air conditioning technology.
For the fiscal year ending 31 March 2025, Mitsubishi reported consolidated sales of approximately US$36.8 billion, based on an exchange rate of 150 yen per US dollar. The company operates sales offices, research companies, development centers and manufacturing facilities in more than 30 countries, and has had a local presence in Germany since 1978 through Mitsubishi Electric Europe
