Italy is reigniting its commitment to sustainable transportation with a new EV incentive package worth over €597 million, targeting private citizens and micro-enterprises. To support users, Autotorino has launched the Evolution Advisor, a digital platform designed to make electric mobility choices easier and more personalized.

From October 22, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., eligible buyers can directly apply for their EV incentive through the official government platform www.bonusveicolielettrici.mase.gov.it. By downloading a 30-day voucher and presenting it to a dealership, purchasers will receive a corresponding discount directly on their invoice.

Choosing an electric or plug-in hybrid car can be complex, given the rapid expansion of market offerings and ongoing public debate about EV practicality. To support users through this transition, Autotorino has launched the Evolution Advisor. Based on user data such as driving habits, average mileage, common road types, vehicle usage, home charging potential, and energy costs, the platform provides tailored recommendations. Through an interactive quiz, users can discover their level of “electric readiness” and fall into one of four profiles: Electric Enthusiast, Aspiring Electric Driver, Plug-in Enthusiast, or Aspiring Plug-in User.

The Evolution Advisor also enables detailed comparisons between internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and EVs, including costs, emissions, consumption, and charging times. Users can evaluate total cost of ownership, simulate recharging scenarios, and identify which car models best suit their mobility needs. The platform further includes educational resources, FAQs about EV technology, and an interactive charging map featuring real-time user reviews and updates.

How the 2025 Incentive Works
The new EV incentive scheme provides financial support for the purchase of fully electric vehicles with a price tag up to €35,000 excluding VAT (€42,700 including VAT). Requirements include scrapping a Euro 5 or older ICE vehicle and residing in a city with over 50,000 inhabitants or a commuter area. The maximum contribution of €11,000 is reserved for individuals with an ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) below €30,000, tapering to €9,000 for those between €30,001 and €40,000.

Micro-enterprises purchasing electric light commercial vehicles can access an incentive covering 30% of the vehicle’s value, up to €20,000 per unit, provided the vehicle is used for goods transport.
