TTI IP&E has received TE Connectivity’s “Global Broadline Distributor of the Year” award for its 2025 results. The recognition highlights the growing importance of specialised distribution in the management of electromechanical components, sensors and connectors for industrial, transportation, aerospace, medical and communications applications.
In the electrical and electronic engineering supply chain, product availability and the ability to support demand across multiple regions have become technical factors as relevant as the performance of the component itself. TE Connectivity’s award to TTI IP&E as Global Broadline Distributor of the Year should be read within this context.
The award is based on several operational criteria, including sales performance, available-to-sell inventory, demand creation, operational execution and global customer support. These are not merely commercial indicators. In sectors such as electric motors, drives, power electronics and electrified systems, they directly affect project continuity, bill-of-materials management and the mitigation of risks linked to shortages or extended lead times.
For TE Connectivity, a global supplier of sensors and connectors, the distribution network acts as a technical and logistical extension of its market presence. The partnership with TTI IP&E covers a broad portfolio of components used in sectors where reliability, traceability and availability are critical requirements, including industrial, defence, aerospace, transportation, medical and communications markets.
The European organisation played a significant role in the global result. According to the company, TTI Europe contributed strongly to the overall performance, maintaining best-in-class results despite challenging market conditions. Ronald Velda, Supplier Marketing Director – Connectors, Emech and Sensors at TTI IP&E Europe, linked the recognition to the company’s previous European Broadline Distributor of the Year awards in 2023 and 2024, underlining the continuity of the work carried out by regional teams.
From an industrial perspective, the most relevant element is the combination of inventory, technical expertise and customer-specific logistics solutions. The distribution of IP&E components — interconnect, passive and electromechanical — is no longer limited to product delivery. It increasingly includes application support, availability management, supply-chain programmes and the ability to serve projects deployed across multiple countries.
TTI, a Berkshire Hathaway company, reports a global presence of more than 132 locations across North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Africa, with over 8,800 employees across TTI and its specialist subsidiaries. The company also states that it maintains approximately 222,000 square metres of dedicated warehouse space and more than 110,000 active part numbers worldwide. These figures explain its positioning as a specialised distributor for manufacturers operating in technically complex markets with international supply chains.
For the electric motor and electrification sector, the award is particularly relevant from a supply-chain resilience perspective. Connectors, sensors, electromechanical and passive components are essential elements in inverters, control systems, wiring architectures, drives, powertrains and automation platforms. Their availability, together with access to local technical support, can influence development timelines, production continuity and the management of design revisions.
