TÜV Italia, the Italian subsidiary of the international TÜV SÜD group, has announced the acquisition of Eurotest, a laboratory specializing in safety and compliance testing, based in Brugine, in the province of Padua.

This transaction represents a significant step for TÜV Italy, which consolidates its position in the field of advanced testing. This is a strategic acquisition also for Electric Mobility: thanks to the new location, TÜV Italia will be able to expand its testing services, particularly those dedicated to electronic components for vehicles. Eurotest’s experience in the automotive sector, combined with TÜV SÜD’s expertise, will create new opportunities for testing and certifying key components, such as batteries, charging systems and electrical infrastructure.

According to Oliver Jacob, CEO of TÜV Italy and TÜV SÜD Western Europe, “The acquisition of Eurotest allows us to strengthen our presence in Northeast Italy and to improve our support to companies operating in emerging sectors, such as electric mobility. We will offer even more comprehensive solutions based on cutting-edge technologies.”

Advanced Testing Capabilities
Eurotest brings a full range of testing services, including:
Electrical safety testing for high-voltage systems.
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) for automotive components.
Environmental and reliability testing for the extreme conditions to which electric vehicles are exposed.
These services are critical to ensure compliance with international standards and to support the transition to more sustainable and safe mobility.

The acquisition of Eurotest represents not only geographic expansion, but also a concrete commitment to accelerate the development of innovative solutions in the field of electric mobility. With an increasing focus on sustainability and safety, TÜV Italia strengthens its mission: to support Italian and European companies in creating reliable and technologically advanced products.
