From Italy’s Motor Valley to the future of light mobility: Carbotronics launches Power Frame, the first forged carbon monocoque e-bike frame with a fully integrated power unit. More than a new product—this is a new industrial paradigm for micromobility.
Designing a power unit for micromobility means solving one of engineering’s toughest challenges: seamlessly integrating sensors, control software, electronics, and precision mechanics. Carbotronics’ answer is a modular, efficient system with the rider at its center: silent, vibration-free, and featuring the patented Zero Drag system that disengages the motor completely beyond 25 km/h, delivering a ride that feels 100% natural.
Using forged carbon CF-SMC technology, the monocoque frame is manufactured in under 20 minutes with high process repeatability and low labor input. Carbotronics achieves cost parity with Asian production, while keeping its entire supply chain in Europe—speeding up development and reducing environmental and logistical impact.
In-house production
Carbotronics developed every element of the system in-house: from motor to frame to tooling. The same expertise in surface treatments and molding geometry that built the first Power Frame can now be applied to other sectors where integration, strength, and lightweight matter most. Highly scalable.
