A year after its launch, China’s Yadea has updated its Kemper electric motorbike, dubbed a ‘sporty electric’, with an even higher performance Rc version. Performance is provided by an electric motor with 40 kW peak power (equivalent to 54 hp), 23 kW continuous power (31 hp) and 570 Nm of torque. The power unit propels the Kemper Rc from zero to 100 km/h in 5 seconds, giving it a top speed of 160 km/h. According to Yadea, the 6.4 kWh battery goes from 10 to 80 per cent in just 10 minutes. The 320V / 20Ah lithium battery is 80% rechargeable in just 10 minutes, and performance, again according to the manufacturer’s released data sheet, sees the 0-100 km/h sprint being achieved in 4.9 seconds, while the top speed reaches 160 km/h.
