Electrogenic has unveiled an electric conversion kit for the Mazda MX-5, which transforms the iconic roadster into an electrified car maintains its famous balance, offering a 0-60 mph sprint in 6 seconds and a range of more than 240 c vehicle without compromising its agility and driving pleasure. The kit, “plug-and-play,” adds only 100 kg over the original model while keeping the weight distribution unchanged.
At the heart of the transformation is a 160-hp electric motor, capable of delivering instant torque to improve acceleration and power-to-weight ratio by 21 percent. km.
The engine is managed by Electrogenic’s proprietary Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), which provides a smooth and configurable driving experience, with customized modes such as “Eco” and “Sport.” The entire system is reversible, allowing the car to be restored to its original configuration.
