Alfa Romeo Tonale is the first electrified C-SUV of the brand, a model that marks the Brand’s metamorphosis. Its début on road symbolically starts from Como, from the places where Alessandro Volta invented the first battery, the first generator of dynamic electricity.
And Alfa Romeo is entering the electrification era, fully remaining faithful to its DNA of Italian sportsmanship, due to state-of-the-art electrification systems conceived to be at the service of the brand.
The motor 48v Hybrid VGT (Variable Geometry Turbo), featuring 160 HP, exclusivity by Alfa Romeo, makes its début. The 1.5 petrol engine with variable geometry turbo is combined with Alfa Romeo TCT seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, with “P2” electric motor featuring 48- volts, 15 kW and 55 Nm (135 Nm due to the transmission ratio 2.5:1) and it can supply traction to wheels even when the internal combustion engine is off. Due to this technical solution, Tonale offers a real electrified experience. Performances are relevant, too: in the 0 – 100 km/h the stopwatch stops after 8.8 seconds and the highest speed is 210 km/h.
Available also the Hybrid, 130 HP version, with Alfa Romeo TCT seven-speed transmission and “P2” 48-volt electric motor, in this case the 0 – 100 km/h acceleration is reached in 9.9 seconds, with a maximum speed of 195 km/h.
