Lin Engineering brings to the table a wide array of products including rotary stepper motors, linear actuators, brushless DC motors, micro-DC motors, frameless torque motors, gear units, AGV/AMR drive wheels, and complete custom motion systems. These solutions are a natural complement to the stepper and servo motors, drives, and controllers Mclennan already distributes through its long-standing collaboration with Applied Motion Products Inc. (AMP), another company within the MOONS’ group.

The company is particularly well-regarded for its ability to deliver custom motor solutions and prototype units within just two weeks, supported by a vertically integrated global supply network.

A key technological highlight of the partnership is Lin Engineering’s proprietary Zero-Tech™ design approach. This encompasses a range of innovations developed to overcome typical limitations of DC motors, such as detent torque, gear backlash, and magnetic cogging. By addressing these issues, Zero-Tech™ enables smoother operation, enhanced positional accuracy, reduced component size, and improved resilience in demanding environments.
