Record U.S. order: LiCON receives the largest order in its history
One of the world’s leading Tier 1 automotive suppliers will rely on technology from Upper Swabia to produce sophisticated vehicle components and will invest in multiple LiCON machining centers for its United States production sites in the coming years. This collaboration is based on a long-term partnership between the two companies.

In the initial phase, the project includes several LiFLEX twin-spindle machining centers, with deliveries scheduled to begin by the end of this year. Equipped with pallet changers, the modular machines enable loading and unloading operations during machining, maximizing productivity. LiCON’s innovative i³ technology delivers exceptional precision through fully independent X, Y, and Z axis. Each machine is individually configured to meet the specific requirements of the respective production site.
The decision to invest was driven by LiCON’s ability to meet demanding requirements for precision, productivity, and flexibility in series production. Equally important were the close technical collaboration between the two companies, as well as the high quality and reliability of the LiCON service and support. The agreement spans several years and allows for additional machines to be ordered for various United States plants.
«This project clearly demonstrates the added value that our Group delivers to our customers,»said David Modig, Chairman of Modig Machine Tool. «Thanks to the close collaboration between our teams at Modig USA, LiCON LP, and the technical specialists in Laupheim, we were able to offer a comprehensive solution that is both technically and economically compelling. Securing this order represents a major success for everyone involved.»

LiCON also views the signing of the contract as a major milestone. «We are very pleased with the trust the Tier 1 automotive supplier has placed in our technology and our team,” said Christoph Czoske, Managing Director of LiCON mt. “The signing of the contract was preceded by intensive technical and strategic discussions. We are proud to establish this long-term partnership, which strengthens our capacity utilization and creates new opportunities for the continued international growth of our company.»
With this major contract, the Group underscores its international focus and strengthens its position as a technology partner for high productivity machining solutions in the global automotive industry.
