The 2025 debut of the Lambretta Elettra S marks a pivotal shift for the renowned Milanese manufacturer, integrating electric drive into its classic engineering philosophy. Presented at EICMA 2025, the Elettra S delivers a potent combination of contemporary electric traction and the signature steel-bodied style that defines Lambretta’s heritage.

At the heart of the Elettra S lies a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), delivering a continuous output of 4.0 kW and a peak power of 6.0 kW. The maximum torque is specified at 100 Nm, affording vigorous acceleration especially suited for urban environments—0-40 km/h in roughly 10 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 90 km/h, positioning this scooter for both city commuting and peri-urban travel. This PMSM configuration is selected for its superior efficiency and torque density relative to conventional brushed or asynchronous motors, offering smooth response across the full operating range.

Elettra S is equipped with a 4.5 kWh lithium-ion battery (NMC 72V), engineered for optimal energy-to-weight ratio and lifecycle durability. Range varies by selected drive mode: up to 120 km in Eco, about 105 km in Normal, and 89 km in Sport. This flexibility allows riders to modulate energy consumption and performance according to situational demands. Charging protocol includes a standard domestic mode (~5 hours 40 minutes full charge from empty) and a fast charging capability (20%-80% in 3 hours 24 minutes) for improved uptime in professional or intensive urban fleet scenarios.

The frame combines traditional steel architecture with contemporary suspension components—a double-link front setup and a rear monoshock integrated with an aluminum swingarm. The curb weight stands at 132 kg, with 12-inch wheels and disc brakes at both ends. Notably, the TFT instrumentation and full LED lighting ensure modern user experience, while attention has been given to comfort and dynamic poise for technical users. This approach underscores Lambretta’s commitment to merge aesthetic continuity with pragmatic engineering improvements.

The Elettra S is positioned in the premium segment and represents Lambretta’s intent to challenge benchmarks for zero-emission urban mobility. The projected retail price is around €6,500, with market entry set for the latter half of 2026. The technical specification sheet aligns the Elettra S as a reference product for professionals interested in electric drivetrain integration, energy management, and advanced suspension technologies within the context of urban electric scooters.
