The launch of the new Jaecoo 6 electric compact SUV expands the range of Jaecoo, a brand of the Chery Group. Already on sale in Australia and New Zealand, as well as several Asian countries, the SUV has a design inspired by the typical shapes of traditional off-road vehicles, with sharp, square lines. Speaking of the powertrain’s technological choice, we find a system power output of up to 279 hp by 375 Nm, which allows it to get from 0-100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. The car is equipped with two permanent magnet motors, one on each axle. Installed on the front axle is a 95-hp, 165 Nm torque powertrain, while the rear axle has a 184-hp, 220 Nm motor. The installed battery is a 69.8 kWh lithium-ion battery capable of providing a range of 470 km, and fast charging is possible thanks to compatibility with up to 85 kW DC: in 30 minutes recharging allows going from 30 percent to 80 percent charge.
