Ardemagni S.p.A. announces the appointment of Davide Ferri as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 November 2026. Ferri succeeds Stefano Sacchi, who is retiring after twelve years at the helm of the company, during which he oversaw its growth and industrial transformation.

With a degree in Economics and Business and specialist training in accounting and management control at SDA Bocconi, Davide Ferri brings over thirty years of experience in international industrial companies, having served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, particularly in the electrical steel and motor and transformer components sectors. His industrial, management and financial expertise will help build on Ardemagni’s achievements and support its continued development in the European market.

The leadership transition takes place in the year of Ardemagni’s 80th anniversary. The company is the exclusive European distributor of non-grain-oriented electrical steel produced by China Steel Corporation (CSC), the Taiwanese steel group. Ardemagni is a joint venture between CSC and Duferco International Trading Holding (DITH), an international group active in steel trading and distribution.

Founded in 1946 and based in Cinisello Balsamo, Ardemagni S.p.A. specialises in the distribution and processing of electrical steel. The company combines its service centre operations with the management of a European sales network, serving customers that include some of the leading automotive manufacturers operating in Europe. Its activities encompass importing, storage, slitting, packaging and distribution, alongside business development and customer support. The main end-use sectors are automotive and electric mobility, household appliances and renewable energy generation, as well as other industrial applications.

Its partnership with CSC enables Ardemagni to offer high-performance electrical steels for increasingly efficient motors and generators, making a significant contribution to the energy transition. Alongside its materials research, CSC implements environmental and energy management systems based on international standards. In 2026, CSC was recognised by the World Steel Association (worldsteel) as one of its Steel Sustainability Champions.

Ardemagni extends its sincere thanks to Stefano Sacchi for his deep commitment to the company and its people. During his tenure, he helped strengthen the joint venture and led the development of the new service centre, inaugurated in 2021, personally overseeing the project from construction and equipment installation through to relocation and the start of operations. The modern facility stands as one of the most significant achievements of his tenure and provides a solid foundation for the company’s future.
