CMAEL is the Italian association that brings together researchers and academics in the field of electrical converters, machines and drives. The non-profit association is committed to promoting scientific research in the fields of electrical power conversion, electrical machines and electrical drives. The association works to encourage the practical application of research findings in the civil, industrial and transport sectors.
Mission
CMAEL aims to promote and disseminate scientific and technological knowledge in strategic sectors of electrical engineering, building bridges between universities and industry and fostering applied innovation.
Role and scope
CMAEL represents a leading scientific community for researchers, academics and professionals in the sector, united by a rigorous approach based on the experimental method and focused on the commercialisation of research results. The areas of application include industrial applications, the electrification of transport, renewable energy, electric mobility (civil, naval and aerospace), and smart grids.
CMAEL has made a strategic decision to organize its annual researchers’ meeting on 22–23 September 2026 as part of Coiltech Italia, Pordenone, in order to foster relationships between members and the companies exhibiting at the fair. The meeting will feature plenary sessions, poster sessions and round-table discussions on the automotive sector, energy and industry.
