The 4EV-T electric motor and e-mobility test bench by EN4 is an advanced system engineered for the functional and performance characterization of electric motors used in e-mobility applications. Designed specifically for the demands of automotive R&D and production environments, it enables comprehensive evaluation in both dynamic and regenerative test cycles, focusing on motor and inverter coupling. At its core, the 4EV-T incorporates a Siemens servomotor as a precision dynamometric brake, interfaced with the device under test (DUT), and managed through a high-efficiency DC/DC converter. The system supports regenerative energy recovery, efficiently transferring energy back to the DC bus during testing. This architecture enhances power management and reduces wastage, ensuring superior energy efficiency throughout the test process. Functional and dynamic cycles can be configured to test motor efficiency, cogging torque analysis, inverter validation, power delivery, battery simulation, and realistic cycle scenarios. Real-time measurements enable rigorous validation of powertrain requirements.
